tr@cy cox prints

prints, drawings, and stuff

all good things ...

well, finally! the new site is almost done and will be up in the next day or two. the good news is it will have lots of artwork, and you'll be able to find my color work there, which am i going to start producing again. the bad news is this blog will die. the new site is more of a visual blog... that is, work will get updated, you'll see new stuff, but without my pithy commenting(rolls eyes). maybe later i'll start it up again. anyways, thanks for checking in. it's been fun.

working in a coal mine

so i've been working hard on a new site, as much as i dig blogger, it doesn't really replace a new site. but man is it a ton of work. so i'm hoping to get this thing launched by september.. but it requires a lot of scanning and prep work. the good news is that it'll be more of a visual feed if i do it right, so it'll be very cool. stay tuned.

new scritches from the book

been getting into brush pens a bit more... i really like a couple i got from japantown, pentel makes one and mitsubishi makes another. i knida like using two pages but it does put self-imposed pressure on you to make something worth looking at, which is kinda against the whole point of a sketchbook. but whatever.

sorry 'bout that

so no posts for quite awhile, huh?-- got really sick and just now getting back on my feet... so expect new stuff coming up in a week or two as i get the ball (and the presses) rolling again. thanks for checking back. in the meantime, entertain yourself with this rejected homepage animated gif showing the different stages i went through designing an early print, december ink. oops. i guess the image isn't showing up. well, sorry bout that.

lego art fun

okay, i had to drop a line on this site just based on this image alone. you'll find has a bunch of famous paintings recreated in legos, and this one is my runaway favorite. which should be no surprise, since edward hopper is one of my favorite artists. go take a look.

... I could cry

and here it is. it was a real hassle printing this puppy... the ink was acting weird, i got it all over myself, and not that many prints are useable because i didn't register it as well as i usually do. (yes, i am an idiot.) actually i kinda dig the off register look, as i've said often on this site, but some of these are so far off it looks like i was drinking at the time. anyway, looking forward to doing some different imagery, and i think i'll do some gocco prints next... that should go a bit smoother (i hope). at least for a little while.
neo the cat surveys my mess.

oh, the humanity.
